Instructional Models

When leading others in a technology-rich school, it is helpful for the administrators and teachers to be working towards the same goals.  One way to support this effort is to adopt or understand the available instructional models. There are many different models to consider, during this topic we will examine some of these models

In the article Models for Effective Technology Integration (http://www.educationworld.com/a_tech/technology-integration-classroom-school-phases-stages.shtml), it is suggested that understanding the phases of technology integration within a building is a key component in understanding where you are and what you may require in order to achieve your integration vision.

Task #5- You will be selecting one instructional models that is appropriate for your technology implementation goals.  From this chosen model you will create an Instructional Model Indicators.  This list with feature observable behaviors that are indicated from this instructional model.  You will be able to record the observable indicators based on your understanding of your chosen model using this scaffold.

Choose a model from the list below.  Using the resources provided or any other resources that you may locate online or offline, generate 2-3 questions that an administrator would ask themselves about what the model would look like in live practice.

Administrator Tip: Instructional Models and Technology Integration Models are nothing new.  Most educators use or remember using Bloom's Taxonomy when forming instructional goals and activities.  Now, Bloom's Taxonomy and the SAMR model can be combined as described here:
